Celebrating the Class of 2025 on Senior Night

Tuesday, February 4, 2025

Before the start of the Varsity game, NAHS Athletic Director Dr. Nick Sclierf announced each of our seniors.

“#2, Isabelle Milot has been a member of the basketball team since sophomore year.  After graduation, Izzy will be pursuing a degree in Health Services. Tonight, she is accompanied by her parents, George and Cheryl Milot and her sister Jackie.”

“#23, co-captain Sam Sweeney, has been a member of the girls varsity team since her freshman year. Following graduation, Sam plans to study Business. Tonight she is accompanied by her parents, Dave and Erin Sweeney.”

“#24, co-captain Maryellen Charette has been a member of the varsity team since freshman year. Upon graduation, Maryellen will be studying Business Administration at IE University in Spain. She is accompanied by her parents James and Leslie Charette and her brother Jimmy.”

Each senior was presented with a bouquet of red roses and ran to the center of the court to pose for a photo with their parents. It was a great game, a bit too close at times. However each senior put in an amazing effort. As we neared the end of the game, and with a secure win in the books, coach Ashley Kepaa subbed in 3 players on the bench to allow for Maryellen Charette, Sam Sweeney, and Izzy Milot to leave the court and enjoy a standing ovation from the crowd of their supporters, as well as hugs from the entire coaching staff, before North went on to finish the game, winning 61-56.

Many hugs and photo opportunities followed before the team and families were invited to the cafeteria to enjoy pizza and cake. In addition, the seniors were each given a personalized blanket as a gift from the Lady Hoopsters covered in game photos and memories of their time on the team.

Many thanks to Barbara O’Hara for helping organize the entire event from start to finish, as well as for being our team photographer. In addition, thanks to both Kate Faria and Pam Robichaud for helping Barbara put together a wonderful senior night for Maryellen, Sam, and Izzy. It was perfect.
