“After having to come from behind the first time these teams faced off, Mansfield got off to a great start on Friday night, scoring 21 points in the first quarter and opening a double-digit lead by halftime. Katelyn Troilo sparked Mansfield’s offense early, knocking down a trio of three-pointers in the first and scoring 10 of the team’s 21 points. Ella Palanza and Frankie Spagna scored four points apiece in the quarter. Jordan Egan scored seven of North’s 12 to try and keep the home team close. Leading 32-21 at halftime, Mansfield won the third 16-10 to give the Hornets a comfortable advantage going to the fourth. Scoring slowed for both teams in the final quarter, as Mansfield was held to five points, but North only managed seven and the Hornets cruised to the win. Troilo led all scorers with 15, Maddie Boyle hit a pair of threes and scored 10 points, and Palanza and Spagna each finished with eight. Egan paced the Rocketeers with 13 points.
