Canton came out hot hitting seven 3’s in the first half and headed into the break leading North 28-22. However, the Rocketeers kicked off the second half by going on a 17-8 run, taking the lead by the end of the third quarter, 39-36. Canton would not go away, though, as they connected for ten 3’s on the night leading to a season high 56 points. But North overpowered them in the paint in the final frame scoring 22 points en route to a 61-56 victory on Senior Night.

The night included a great showing of support for North’s three seniors, captains Maryellen Charette and Sam Sweeney, and power forward Izzy Milot, as family and friends filled the stands. Maryellen ended the night with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists. Sam added 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. Izzy finished with 1 point, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. In addition to our seniors, North received huge contributions from Jordan Egan (12 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 assists), Bella Houghton (12 points and 3 rebounds), Ula Malynka (7 points) and Ava Pratt (2 points and 4 rebounds).

North hosts Mansfield (10-3 conference, 12-5 overall) on Friday night as they look to move up the standings in hopes of securing an MIAA playoff berth.
