Attleboro clinched their first Hockomock League title last night with a solid defensive showing against rival North Attleboro. Sam Sweeney was North’s top scorer with 12 points, including five of North’s nine in the third, and Maryellen Charette scored eight.
From Coach Kepaa: “Last night, we wrapped up our season at home with a lot of happy/sad tears. Thank you to our senior captain Katie Corsetti. You were brilliant and I’d give anything to get to coach you again. How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard?”

The JV girls ended the season with another competitive game but fell short to the Bombardiers 34-45. Though outsized by Attleboro, the Rocketteers stayed close limiting second shots and remained tied 20-20 at halftime and down 27-28 after three periods. The Attleboro girls hit several threes in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. In a balanced effort by North, Emma Faria lead the scoring for North with 10 points and Bella McQuade and Jeny O’Hara chipped in with 9 and 7 respectively.
