Tuesday, January 21, 2025
Excerpts from hockomocksports.com and the Sun Chronicle articles:
North took a 32-26 lead going into halftime following a 16-13 lead in the first quarter.
“A big discussion we’ve had is how we present ourselves in the third quarter. We have a tendency of coming out slow, no matter if we’re up or down, our third quarter has been our problem child.” Coach Ashley Kepaa explained. Coming out of the break, Attleboro rallied with 20 points in the third to send the teams into the fourth quarter tied at 46 apiece. North quickly answered back with a 19-9 final eight minutes to end their four-game losing streak.
From Attleboro head coach Bri Bracken: “Kudos to North, they shot lights out. They played a better game. We just kind of rushed and played into their pace. They’re scrappy defenders.”
Sam Sweeney and Uliana Malynka both ended the game with season-highs of 13 points each. Jordan Egan finished with 10 points, Ava Pratt and Emma Faria each finished with nine, and Isabella Houghton finished with eight.
