“Despite battling a short bench due to illnesses and injuries, North was able to hold off Milford down the stretch to end a five-game losing streak and get back into the win column. The game was close throughout. The Rocketeers got seven points from Maryellen Charette to lead 12-9 after one and a combined 14 points from Katie Corsetti and Uliana Malynka to extend the lead to 31-24 at the break. The third quarter was even, but in the fourth Milford got five points from Maeve Driscoll and four more from Katelyn Kearnan to cut into the lead. North had only one field goal in the fourth, a three from Sam Sweeney, but Sam Faria and Charette combined to shoot 9-for-13 at the line to secure the win. Charette went 9-of-13 at the charity stripe on the night and finished with a game-high 13 points. Corsetti added a dozen points, Malynka nailed three from beyond the arc and had nine points, and Sweeney scored eight (all in the second half).”

From Coach Kepaa:North Girls with a hard fought win over @MilfordAthletic with a very short handed roster. All around team win with everyone working hard through big time minutes. It was a great game from start to finish both teams truly battled. Girls improve to 2-5.”
